102nd POST!

So here I was planning to do a big hoo-ha about my 100th post and then I missed it. I only realised just as I was going through the dashboard and read that it said I'd done 101 posts. After feeling a little stupid I thought why not make a hoo-ha about the 102nd post.

I started this blog in October last year to use it as a bookmrking tool and as a way to post things that inspire me that I thought other people might be inspired by too. Over the past year I have posted pictures, films and sometimes music. From photographers like HEDI SLIMANE and OTO GILLEN to artists like MICHAEL ZAVROS and JENNY HOLZER to bloggers like PANDORA, DAN THE SCOUT and BLACK ORCHID to designers like DAMIR DOMA, DIOR HOMME and RAD HOURANI to illustrators like RICHARD KILROY and SABINE PEIPER to models like COLE MOHR and AGYNESS DEYN to musicians like LAND OF TALK and GLASS EYES and to the numerous other magazines, photographers, designers, models, videos and bloggers. I have loved it all!

Working in a strictly and sometimes austere frame of just black and white (except for the 15th of November and the 10th of August where I ventured a little and posted some colour haha) I sometimes found it hard to post as it is quite limiting. Alas I don't regret the decision of the black and white concept as there is so much beauty in such simplicity and considering how much I've posted (which is a lot) there must be other people who share my interest and passion in black and white works. I just love it!

Above is an image by one of my favourite photographers JOLIJN SNIJDERS who's work I post all the time hence why I thought it would be appropriate to post one today. I don't normally write much in my posts as I've never really been the writing type but I thought I might for this occasion.
So if anyone actually reads this or even comes on my blog thankyou!

When I was in Melbourne in January I went and saw an exhibition of hers without even realising it. At the time I had no idea who she was and it was only until later this year I had an art class where we were discussing her work. Her work generally consists of projecting quotes onto buildings and landscapes. Her work is beautiful.

so in my last post i mentioned that i was going to melbourne for two weeks and i wasn't sure if i'd be able to post stuff because i wasn't sure if i'd be able to get to a computer with internet and then i'd need something to post about blah blah blah... you get the picture. so today i was on vimeo (vimeo: like youtube except way better) hunting around for creative goodness as i was feeling a bit 'creatively dry' (if you get what i mean).
i haven't been checking my usuall blogs and haven't been feeding my need for creativity or what i like to call 'my daily dose of imagery' like i normally do. so as i was hunting i came across this video. now when ever i see something i think is really cool i get very excited and my mind starts to go a little bit crazy with ideas. thats what happened when i saw this video. i got very excited and my mind went a little bit crazy. well a little bit is an understatement. my mind went psychotic! i felt like i hadn't eaten for days and then suddenly before me was a banquet waiting to be consumed! so maybe a little dramatic but seriously this video is cool!
anyway if you're like me when you see something really cool you get very excited and start to go a little bit crazy with ideas then you should enjoy this video.
